On Monday night, Sir Paul McCartney—one of the greatest living musicians—was turned away from a Grammys after-party hosted by Tyga, the rapper best known to mainstream audiences for dating Kylie Jenner. The abhorrent pop-culture incident, which was dutifully captured by TMZ, ignited horrified reactions by all humans with an Internet connection. And on Tuesday night, Tyga appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to absolve himself of this perceived Grammy-night sin . . . and promote a new concert that McCartney is totally welcome to attend.
On Tuesday, Tyga explained that he did not even know that the Beatle had been turned away from the Hollywood club until “I kind of like woke up to a series of texts and TMZ [news] so it was crazy.” He added, “I had no knowledge [of the incident]. I was inside performing. . . . I got paid to go and perform. . . . I wish I would have known he was outside. . . . I would have brought him in.”
When Kimmel volunteered that McCartney was turned away because a fire marshal had determined the club at capacity—and not because the British performer was not on the guest list—Tyga joked that he or she s

hould be receiving outraged messages on social media—not him. “Tweet the fire marshal,” the rapper deadpanned. “Don’t tweet me.”
“You’d think fire codes wouldn’t apply to Beatles,” added Kimmel. “There are only two of them left.”
As for how Tyga made it up to the living legend? “I tweeted him.” Take a look at the gesture below.
