Cheryl Fernandez-Versini enjoyed a throwback to her Girls Aloud fashion days when she walked down the red carpet at the BRIT Awards on Wednesday night.
The 32-year-old channelled her old pop band style, wearing a lemon prom style dress at London's 02
arena, which had a bustier top section and wasn't too dissimilar from
the one worn on the cover of the Girls Aloud record, Can't Speak French.
The
bottom half had a mullet hem, which added volume to the ensemble, which
she teamed with a pair of high-shine metallic sandals.

Sporting
a golden hue, the singer paid homage to the Nineties by accessorising
with a silver Messika choker and NOA Fine Jewellery ring, as well as
matching diamond earrings as she posed with her hands on her hips.
Cheryl wore her long brunette hair half up, wearing it in curls which fell down past her shoulders.
Outside the iconic venue, Cheryl seemed more than happy to stop and pose with her fans and take some selfies with them.

She's had many image overhauls over the
years, but we've recently grown used to Cheryl's sleek and understated
aesthetic. So you can imagine our surprise when she turned up to the
BRITs like this.
Channeling her inner pop princess, Cheryl sported a pastel yellow mini dress teamed with silver heels. The hair extensions were also back, and she completed her look with a top knot and some serious bling in the form of a choker and oversized earrings.
Cheryl's dress featuring a boned bodice and oversized peplum giving it a high-low hemline is by Zuhair Murad. It featured in the Spring 2016 Couture collection, so is not available to buy, but click right to shop the ready-to-wear collection at Farfetch!
Alternatively, recreate Cheryl's look with one of our picks in the edit below. This mellow yellow lace Self-Portrait is our favourite, but if you're after a strapless one like Cheryl's, Delpozo, Asos and True Decadence have some great options.
Style with classic nude courts and a box clutch for a ladylike look that's perfect for a wedding or day at the races.

She
may have turned her peepers emerald for a pre-BRIT Awards selfie, though
it was her fans who would be left green-eyed with envy by the look.
The
brunette couldn't wait to share her red carpet look and took to
Instagram with a teasing picture just before the excitement began .
Cheryl
stared straight down the lens with her hair twisted into a chic,
half-up, half-down hair 'do, in a black and white snap that highlighted
just her eyes in bright, green colour.
Adding some length: Cheryl wore her long brunette hair half up, wearing it in curls which fell down past her shoulders

The
biggest event of the year in the British music industry's calendar was
hosted for the last time by Ant and Dec, after they revealed last week
that they would be stepping down as its presenters: this will be their
third time hosting, as they also presented in 2015 and 2001.
The
night had perhaps one of its best musical line-ups in recent years,
with homegrown stars Adele, Little Mix, Coldplay, James Bay and Jess
Glynne being joined on stage by international hitmakers Rihanna, The
Weeknd and Justin Bieber.
While
there were initially fears that Rihanna, 28, wouldn't be able to
perform at the BRITs after cancelling her Grammys performance last
Monday at the last minute due to illness, the star did end up taking
the stage with her new track Work.
It
was the fourth time that Rihanna has performed at the BRITs: in 2008
she performed her massive hit Umbrella with The Klaxons, while at the
2011 ceremony viewers were treated to a medley of Only Girl in The
World, S&M and What’s My Name.
Not-so-mellow yellow: Cheryl ensured all eyes would be on her as she took to the stage in her yellow dress
Reunited: During the ceremony, Cheryl took to the stage with her fellow X Factor judge, Nick Grimshaw
Having a laugh: The pair seemed completely at ease on the stage and spent the time cracking jokes
Milking it: The pair were cheered on by the crowds as the well-loved duo took to the podium
Lots of laughs: The Geordie beauty seemed in good spirits, laughing down the microphone
At ease: The star was a natural in front of the camera alongside her friend Nick
Fashionable
friends: Cheryl ensured she was the belle of the ball on stage in her
lemon yellow gown whilst Nick Grimshaw also opted to take a fashion risk
in a checkered gold suit
Hiding: Cheryl couldn't control her giggles as she tucked behind Nick on the stage
BRIT babe: Cheryl dazzled as she sidled up to Nick on the stage
2012
saw Rihanna’s stunning rendition of We Found Love while the 2016
performance will come ahead of her huge UK stadium tour in June.
Adele,
27, delivered a much better performance back on home turf following her
Grammys appearance, which was marred with technical issues.
It
was the Hello singer's first time performing at the BRITs since 2012,
when she roused the audience - and the nation - with a haunting
rendition of her mega-hit Someone Like You.
In
the end, Adele led this year's winners with four BRIT wins on Wednesday
night, after unexpectedly scooping the BRITs Global Success Award,
which is based on international sales success and would mean she could
walk away with five awards on the night – something no artist has yet
managed in one fell swoop.
Pretty pair: The couple were two of the most glamorous guests on the evening
Big moment: Cheryl and Nick took to the stage to announce the best British breakthrough act
Victorious: Cheryl took a backseat to allow Catfish And The Bottlemen to accept their award
